Founded by actor/producer Jamie Hector (The Wire, Bosch), Bill Stephney (Def Jam Recordings), and Eric Price (CIBC), OvrDo Media focuses on creating authentic content that stem from diversity. With more than 10 projects already in development and 10 more in planning, our projects are inclusive to all great expressions, no matter where they come from, or who they come from.
CREATIVITY
OvrDo features a team of principals with over 50 years of talent, production and management experience in the content industry, and more than 30 years of executive leadership in the financial sector. We are uniquely partnered to deliver compelling stories via methods ranging from screen to stream – during an unprecedented era of consumer demand for media.
ACCESS
The OvrDo team possesses long-term relationships with many of the content industries leading financing and distribution institutions, such as HBO, Amazon, Disney and YouTube. Additionally, team members have firmly established themselves in the worlds of philanthropy, and with neighborhood-based service organizations.
APPROACH
Based in the New York City metro area, OvrDo plans to tap into the immense amount of diverse talent in vibrant, surrounding communities such as Harlem, Crown Heights in Brooklyn, the South Bronx and Newark, New Jersey. We believe that, by aligning innovation with business and employment opportunities where we live and imagine, the impact will extend well beyond the walls of our headquarters.
